The worst is over now. There's an occasional 40-mph wind gust, but the rain is a mere trickle now. A little more than an hour ago, it was horizontal. I think it will be perfectly clear out within an hour or so, so I may be able to go home tonight after all -- assuming the roads aren't blocked.
Power is still out all over town. I've read preliminary reports of major damage southwest of here.
I'm curious to see how my house fared. A co-worker who lives northeast of town reported that shingles were missing from his roof, his roof was leaking and an oak tree was down in his front yard.
