Am I the only one who had never heard of a satsuma until just recently?
I also just found out that it's a Japanese word.

I'm thinking now that it must be another Loosianaism. It's a fruit, like a tangerine but lighter in color. I saw stands for them all over Baton Rouge (must have been in season). And I recently asked Steve to pick me up some tangerines at the store, and he later asked me how I liked the "satsumas"...
